Equal parts creative thinker and operator, I’m interested in both what something could be and what it takes to make it work. I can obsess over a detail, zoom out to understand the larger system, and move quickly between concept, customer, people, and execution. That duality has shaped a career spanning design, merchandising, brand experience, retail leadership, customer experience, and large-scale operations. I’ve built creative experiences and visual concepts, led high-performing teams, developed talent, designed better systems, and solved complex operational problems at scale. I don’t see creativity and operations as opposing disciplines. The idea matters. The execution matters. The experience is the result of both.
CURIOSITY AS A PRACTICE
I’ve always been interested in more things than I probably ought to be. My thinking is informed by literature & social theory, culture and new media, visual trends, consumer behavior, design, retail ecosystems, and the ways people interact with spaces, products, and one another. That curiosity has taken different forms—from academic work in literature & social theory to creative direction and styling through JAÈ Styling, and from customer-facing brand work to leading teams inside some of the most demanding operating environments in retail and technology. I’m equally fascinated by pedagogy: how people learn, how leaders communicate, and how the right environment can pull better work out of people. Teaching, coaching, and talent development have consequently become as much a part of my leadership practice as strategy and execution.
My career Through line
Within my variegated 20-year career, the pattern has remained consistent: I see what others miss, clarify what matters, build the idea, build the system, and improve the outcome. That process is how I move between creative vision and operational execution. It allows me to translate ambiguity into direction, turn concepts into scalable products and experiences, and build the structure required to drive performance, consumer action, and business growth. I’m most effective in environments where the work demands both imagination and rigor—where the expectation is not only to create something compelling, but to make it work.
